Jump!!!

"Jump!!! in".  This is a picture of me jumping into the big dive pool wearing my life jacket. The dive pool is 4.6 meters deep. We had to practice survival skills if you fall out of a boat. We learnt survival freestyle keeping your head above water.

We have been practising the the run for athletics this term. You have to keep your head straight the whole time,  arms pumping, legs only one second on the ground you want to keep everyone behind you and win.

Seed planting Experiment

We have been doing a science experment in class. We put a bean seed in a cup with dirt. We put the seed in a box with a cardboard maze running through it. My hypothesis is the bean is going to die.

Tem 3 Reflection

My term 3 reflection. We had speeches in Term 3. My speech was the longest in the class. My speech was 5.19 seconds. It was a recount of my time in Rotorua. We also had sports. I had soccer. For part of the season we had a coach and then after a little while he left.

Room 8 is in the All Blacks Crowd

On Wednesday we had to wear black because we pretended to be the crowd at an All Blacks match. We had to have an exciting look on our faces, as if it looked like the All Blacks had just scored a try. My favourite player is Richie  McCaw. He wears the number 7 jersey. If you look carefully you can see me eating hot chips in the stadium photo.

Chinese kites

We have been reading a story called the Peasant Prince about a young boy called Li Cunxin. As a boy Li used to fly a red kite with wishes on it. As a class we decided to make a kite each. My kite has three dragon heads on my kite and some wishes too.

Gymsport competition

The  gymsport is a competition of dance and gym. Our hip hop team was the inspiring hip hoppers. The 1st place was the floru mob. 2nd place was the inspiring hip hoppers and 3rd place was the vardon hip hop. Each team that got a place got a certificate.

Culture is the language that you speak, it's also flags, where you are from. What kinds of thing you do, your skin colour, the clothes you wear and the types of food you eat. 

the waste to wow show

On  the  waste  to wow  night  I  was  the  big  jaffa. My favourite costume was the  jaffa. My other  favourite was the snake. I waling down  the catwalk  in  frint such a big audience.

Making a paper hat with room 4

Room 8 and room 4 had a challenge. We had to make a paper design We were to make a little part of a garment. My group made a tall hat with a jaffa on top because my group is the jaffa group.   

This is Mrs Paraha's baby. The baby's name is Eden. She is six weeks old. She is adorable. Can a baby  really be so small?

Museum trip!

This dress that you can see in the corner up close was made out of copper. Copper can be found in a car engines. There was lots of copper in the costume. We got to make a hat out of paper.  I was the model.

Term 1 Reflection.

My highlight from term 1 was spelling because I practice my words a lot after school for home learning. I am ready to go up a level.

My goal in the soccer season is to score some goals for the team.

Maths week.

This week we have been learning time in maths. The big  hand means minutes, the small hand means hours  and the fast hand is the seconds. Analog time means a clock with two hands. If the big hand is on the 12 it means that no minutes have gone by.

marmite is back.

• The Christchurch factory was damaged from an earthquake.
• Marmite has been on New Zealand sheves for over 100 years.
• Marmite is a vegetarian spread.
• I love marmite because it tastes so good on hot toast. It tastes kind of sticky and strong and salty.

Tennis

The whole school is having Tennis lessons.We all tried it. We were learning how to hit the forehand.n Sometimes we missed the ball but we tried to hit it on the strings of the racket and we had fun.

Rules for the Sandpit

We were making rules for different things. I made some rules for the sandpit. This was for reading. We all made a poster.

Assembly 2013

We wher the frist cless to do assembly in 2013. My favorite part.

We were the first class to do Assembly in 2013. My favourite part was the Harlem shake. This is me holding the class award, I'm Jayden.

Camp

My favourite part was the slip n slide because you can go fast.

Me Bag

The me bag is about bringing 5 or 6 things about me. I brought two soft toys and a picture of me as a baby and some other things too.
