My cat Squealer

My cat Squealer is 18 years old and is a girl she is older than me!

Squealer's mother was our neighbours cat who had kittens in my mum and dad's closet. My mum and dad decided to keep two kittens which was Squealer and Blackly. Sadly Blackly we still see him around the street we live on hopefully Squealer will live for a carpel more years.

Room8's assembly

On Friday it was room 8's assembly.
We had bean practising all week and it was a great assembly. My dad my mum and my Grandpa came to watch. I was a host in the assembly. I was also the pilot in an airport soundscape. My favourite part about the assembly was the airport soundscape  because we acted out a scene at a busy airport.

Term 3 Refletion

This term  we did quick writes. We did one sentence and tried to make a picture in the reader's head.
 This term we did swim for life. We had to walk to Water World. We learnt to swim, we learnt freestyle, backstroke, breastroke .

This term we learnt how to do things on paint. We did a plane on paint with drag, thrust, lift and gravity.

Fireman saves kitten

This is a video of lots of firemen at a scene of a house fire. They found a kitten that was unconscious. The fireman rushed outside and pulled out equipment that helped the kitten to survive. They poured water on the kitten to cool it down. Then the kitten stretches and meows. Thankfully it has now come back to life.

SwimSafe

I'm swimming freestyle,
for freestyle your arms
have to stretch out of the water & your legs have to kick really hard in the water.

Cross country

Show not tell

The car crashed on the road.

The black limo flipped on its back at Braid Road shops.

The green Toyota smashed into a tree at Te Rapa straight corner.

Cross country

Cross country is on the 29th of August. Cross country is a race in age groups. I am really fit so  I can run fast. I want to do well in cross country because I'm putting a lot of effort into cross country training I sprint, jog and think about speed. I will stick with the group and then sprint them off. I hope I come in the top four.

We have bean learning fractions and using the maths language the numerator and denominator and equal parts.

Circuit Poem

               Circuits are when I exercise my body.

            I see lots of people exercising and not stopping even though they feel tired.

            I hear  people puffing and a whistle blowing.

  I smell sweaty bodies, sand, wet puddles and fresh air everywhere.

             I touch the ground, the wall and the sand.

Mask Reflection

We have made are own mask. We had to do some hard things like the striping of the paper to make the face of the mask. Next we made some eyes, mouth, nose which was hard to do. Then we painted our masks. It was hard to choose the colour  to paint the masks. Latter we added lots of crafts to decorate it. Here is my mask.

Shape poem

We are leaning to write a shape poem. We write a  poem and then you write it in the shape of what your poem is about. Here is my poem. 
Cats are the best pets ever.
 Cats stay close to your heart for ever and ever.
 Cats come in at night 
and snuggle on your lap real tight.

Crazy Imagination

Imagination is anything you can think of,  for instance a flying cat. You can use your  imagination to do anything you want. I drew this imagination poster. It has everything I thought of when I was making it.
It has a sqiggly shield, a man eating chiwawa and a ginormous sword. 

My wild creature

I'm an imaginary creature.  I have elephant ears, rhino horns, a crocodile tail,and  tiger paws and  frog legs.

I saw blue hats marching on the field. I was 1 of them. I saw obstacles all around the field. I heard lots of people screaming on the field. Kids cheering for their house. I felt exhausted at the end of the day.

This is a pie graph. It is called a pie graph because it is shaped like a pie. It is the only graph that looks like a pie. The pie graph shows favourite movies. The biggest piece is love movies. The least popularis action movies.
